Annual Pond Hockey

It's time for the 12th annual CCYHA 3 vs. 3 Pond Hockey Turkey Shootout! This event fills up every year with over 200 current and former players participating.

This event is open to current and former CCYHA travel players who want to participate in a fun event on Thanksgiving Eve night. Bringing home a CCYHA pond hockey championship is one of the most coveted awards to acquire and the glory lasts forever.

We need to know how many players to expect, teams to form, and ice time to secure; so please help us pull this event off by registering immediately if attending.

If you register to play in this event, please make sure you attend since each team will only have 3 players placed on them. Registration will close November 24. Anyone signing up after Nov 24 will be placed on an alternate list and will not be guaranteed entry.

Ages

All ages. Each team will consist of a mix of players of the same age group but from different levels with the goal of creating balanced three person teams. Goalies are not used in this event, but are welcome and encouraged to skate out.

Jerseys / Equipment

All players are asked to bring a light and dark jersey.

The only required equipment is skates, helmet, gloves, and elbow pads but you may wear full equipment if you like.

Format

The tournament is played pond hockey style where teams play at least 3 games with each game lasting 5 minutes. Small wooden "goals" are used.
